New Projects

The International Brain Laboratory is excited to grow our community with a new cohort of project partners. These collaborations bring together diverse expertise across neuroscience, data science, and technology, strengthening our collective effort to understand brain function at scale.

Our selected projects are organized across three complementary scientific and technical dimensions:

  • Decision-making and distributed neural circuitry

  • Enhancing data collection across behavioral and physiological domains

  • Community infrastructure: developing shared methodologies and technical tools for the broader scientific community.

By working closely with these partners, we aim to accelerate discovery, foster innovation, and expand the impact of our shared research infrastructure.

We look forward to the progress and insights that will emerge from these collaborations.

Funding Sources

IBL is supported by five-year funding towards the IBL Core from the Simons Foundation (active through 2030). Our community engagement and methodology dissemination efforts are supported by a three-year grant from the Wellcome Trust (active through 2028). In addition, a number of ongoing projects are supported by the NIH BRAIN Initiative through a U19 award.
